May Monthly Meeting - Andrew Leaf on State Pattern HFDP Ch 10
Title: May Monthly Meeting - Andrew Leaf on State Pattern HFDP Ch 10
Date and Time:
May 11, 2010 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Speakers: Andrew Leaf
Agenda:
In a continuation of our Head First Design Patterns for ColdFusion Developers series (HFDP4CF), we reach Chapter 10 covering the State Pattern. Book Description: A little known fact: The Strategy and State Patterns were twins separated at birth. As you know the Strategy Pattern (covered in Ch. 1) went on to create a wildly successful business around interchangeable algorithms. State, however took the perhaps more noble path of helping objects learn to control their behavior by changing their internal state. He's often overheard telling his object clients "Just repeat after me, I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggonit..."
So what, you may ask, does this have to do with ColdFusion? Come find out.
Training time:
During the 6:30-7:30 hour, Adam Presley will be offering a training topic on practical use of CFTHREAD in a real-world scenario.
As always, food/drink will be provided by Paladin Consulting.
